MP Jim Paice is urging residents to support a campaign calling for superfast broadband in East Cambridgeshire.
The South East Cambs MP, who has been campaigning for better broadband in his constituency for years, says the best way for people to get their voice heard is to sign an online campaign – Connecting Cambridgeshire.
The Government has recently committed to providing superfast broadband to 90 per cent of all UK premises and to improve connectivity to all others, ensuring a standard broadband service of at least 2Mphs.
Mr Paice said: “I am delighted that the Government has recognised improving broadband services to rural areas as a priority.
“I would like to urge all my constituents to register their interest to show private investors there is a real demand for these services locally.
“Your help is needed to show that the families, students, professionals and businesses of South East Cambridgeshire want superfast broadband.”
