Magpas gets its own helicopter

A life-saving medical charity is to have its own helicopter after the Cambridgeshire police aircraft was withdrawn.

Magpas is expecting the delivery next week. Until then an RAF search and rescue helicopter is available to pick up Helimedix teams and fly them to emergencies.

A charity spokeswoman said: “Magpas has secured its very own helicopter, which is due to arrive before the end of this month.”
