Two thirds of Cambridgeshire’s average April rainfall hammered down over the weekend.
About 30mm of rain fell across the region between 3pm on Friday and 3pm on Sunday, according to figures from the Met Office.
The county’s average rainfall for April is 45mm.
The Environment Agency also issued flood warnings for Linton, Hildersham, Great Abington, Little Abington and Babraham, with river levels in the upper reaches of the River Granta still rising after the weekend’s rain
Met Office forecaster Tom Morgan said: “Cambridgeshire residents were in for a very wet weekend by the county’s standards with almost 24mm of rain falling on Saturday alone.”
