Cambridgeshire: A14 closed after four-vehicle crash

A FOUR-VEHICLE crash on the westbound carriageway of the A14 at Cambridge caused long tailbacks today.

Emergency services were called to the Girton Interchange at 11.30am to reports of the accident, involving a caravan and a van and two other vehicles.

One person has been taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, as a precaution. A Cambridgeshire police spokesman said it is not believed to be a serious injury.

Fire crews were in attendance but stood down as they were not needed.
