Description
The Wheatsheaf Public House, a former 17th Century Coaching Inn, is ideal for a trip to Newmarket races.
Situated in Exning, a village on the outskirts of Newmarket, the Wheatsheaf is perfect for those planning a trip to the races with easy access to both the Rowley Mile and the July Course.
During the day you can avoid the hustle and bustle of town and enjoy a quiet beer in our huge beer garden surrounded by beautiful gardens.
If you are thinking of bringing the children they can play in our specially adapted play area next to the beer garden complete with a climbing wall and bark chipped play area.
The accommodation at the Wheatsheaf has all been recently refurbished and boasts 6 rooms, 4 with luxury en suite and 2 with private bathroom facilities.
Why not make a weekend of it?
During the Summer months we regularly have live music acts and barbecues in the beer garden where you can be entertained and fed to your hearts content!
We also serve lunchtime meals, including a Sunday carvery (booking is advised) and we operate a full A La Carte menu in our restaurant every evening.
We do get very busy during the racing season so please send us an enquiry via the link above to check our availability.
Please mention the Cambridgeshire Tourist Guide when calling.
