Description

The Cock Pub and Restaurant situated in the delightful village of Hemingford Grey on the river Great Ouse, was converted from a village pub in 2001 to become a highly acclaimed restaurant and traditional pub. Exceptional cuisine and local real ales combine to provide a convivial atmosphere. Restaurant and pub are separate to retain the integrity of the ‘local’ pub (dogs allowed!) serving four real ales and a comprehensive range of individually selected wines. About the Restaurant Voted Cambridgeshire Dining Pub of the Year 2005/6 by The Good Pub Guide! The Cock Pub and Restaurant offers English and European cooking served in a spacious, airy room with wooden floors and summery colours, and a traditional classic local pub. The restaurant offers fresh fish via a daily board of starters and main courses. Our ŕ la carte menu is full of originality and flair and our homemade sausages are famous throughout the area. Wood burning fires in winter and a spacious garden in summer provide cheerful surroundings in all seasons. In 2003 The Cock Pub was voted Real Ale Pub of the District and can be found in The Good Beer Guide and The Good Pub Guide. The Restaurant has been listed in The Good Food Guide since the 2003 edition. Please mention the Cambridgeshire Tourist Guide when calling.
