The Boathouse is a contemporary, airy Restaurant on the river front in Ely. The beautiful view down the Ely town reach of the Great Ouse makes it one of the most attractive places to eat in Cambridgeshire. The Boatrace crews launched from the building in 1944 when the race was staged outside London during the war years.
About the Restaurant The ambiance and style of the Restaurant suits the setting. The Chefs can be seen at work creating imaginative food worthy of the surroundings. Locally caught Eel regularly features on the enterprising à la carte and light lunch menus. The friendly and efficient service is typical of Cambscuisine, and the wine list is thoughtful and comprehensive. The restaurant suits all occasions; a quiet lunch by the river or an evening meal in a cheerful environment - all where King Canute rowed by and in the shadow of the mighty Cathedral. Please mention the Cambridgeshire Tourist Guide when booking.
