Hotels in St Ives

St Ives is a bustling market town situated approximately 15 miles north of Cambridge and is certainly worth exploring on your visit to Cambridgeshire.

Steeped in history and made famous in the Nursery rhyme, As I was going to St Ives there are plenty of hotels in St Ives that cater for one night stop overs and weekend trips. Once an important trading route to London the town’s most notable attraction is the St Ives Bridge. Spanning the river Great Ouse, and one of only 3 in the country to incorporate a chapel, it is now officially a scheduled ancient monument and well worth investigating if you have the time.

Many of the hotels in St Ives date back hundreds of years and this adds to their charm and sense of history. The Golden Lion Hotel is a 18h century building that was substantially refurbished in 2003 offering the perfect combination of modern comfort in a traditional atmosphere.
